JP Geospatial Inc. ā€” Terms of Service

Welcome to the JP Geospatial Customer Portal and JP Geospatial Map Engine (the ā€œServicesā€).
These Terms of Service (ā€œTermsā€) govern your access to and use of the Services operated by JP Geospatial Inc. (ā€œJP Geospatialā€, ā€œweā€, ā€œourā€, or ā€œusā€).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Ownership of Intellectual Property

All software, source code, compiled code, scripts, algorithms, technical workflows, user interfaces, web maps, data models, databases, processing tools, APIs, and all related intellectual property used to operate the Services are the exclusive property of JP Geospatial Inc.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • The JP Geospatial Customer Portal

  • The JP Geospatial Map Engine

  • Any custom engineering tools, map generation systems, or GIS workflows

  • Any HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, QGIS, or server-side code

  • Any backend logic or cloud-based systems

  • Any visual design, branding, UI components, and layout

Nothing in these Terms grants users any rights to copy, reproduce, distribute, reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or derive works from any part of the Services.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree that you will NOT:

  • Attempt to access, copy, or extract source code

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the underlying software

  • Scrape, harvest, or mass-download map tiles, imagery, or data

  • Probe, scan, or test system security or authentication controls

  • Use the Services to develop a competing product

  • Share your login credentials with others

  • Attempt to bypass any access restrictions or security measures

  • Interfere with the operation of the Services in any way

Unauthorized use may result in immediate suspension or termination of access, as well as legal action.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

JP Geospatial may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Are involved in misuse

  • Pose a security risk

  • Are associated with fraudulent activity

  • Fail to comply with these Terms

4. Content and Data

Certain project data, maps, or imagery visible in the Customer Portal are provided to you as part of contracted services with JP Geospatial. This data remains the property of JP Geospatial unless stated otherwise in writing.

You may view and download materials provided for your project, but you may not:

  • Redistribute them publicly

  • Use them for purposes outside your project

  • Claim ownership of underlying datasets, algorithms, or designs

5. Service Availability

The Services are provided on an ā€œas-isā€ and ā€œas-availableā€ basis.
We may:

  • Update

  • Modify

  • Improve

  • Suspend

  • Or discontinue parts of the Service

ā€¦at any time to maintain system integrity, enhance functionality, or support security.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • JP Geospatial Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Services.

  • We are not responsible for delays, interruptions, or data loss caused by third-party providers, cloud infrastructure, or network issues.

  • Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Services is to discontinue use.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Services.
However, you acknowledge that no online system is completely secure.

Users must not engage in:

  • Unauthorized access

  • Credential tampering

  • Data extraction

  • Security probing

  • Exploitation of vulnerabilities

Any such activity may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations

  • Attempt unauthorized access to any JP Geospatial systems

  • Interfere with or disrupt system operations

  • Upload malicious code, malware, bots, automated tools, or scraping utilities

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time, without notice, for:

  • Malicious activity

  • Security threats

  • Terms violations

  • Nonpayment for contracted services

  • Actions harmful to JP Geospatialā€™s systems or business

Upon termination, you must immediately stop using the Services.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
